FitBite AI is an iOS and watchOS app by jscode.studio that estimates calories from meal photos and voice descriptions and combines them with activity data from Apple Health. This policy explains what data the app processes and why.
A meal photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our recognition server, forwarded to an AI provider (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI or DeepSeek, as configured by us) for analysis, and discarded immediately afterwards. We do not store photos. Voice is transcribed on your device by Apple's speech recognition; only the resulting text is sent to the server.
Food names, portions and nutrition numbers you log are stored on our server so that your history and calendar are available across your devices. Daily step counts, active energy, distance, workouts (type, duration, calories) and weight entries you allow us to read from Apple Health are stored as daily aggregates. You can turn this synchronisation off in Settings; the app then keeps the data on the device only.
Health data is read only with your permission, used only to compute your daily budget, balance and statistics, and never used for advertising or sold to third parties. FitBite AI can write meals (dietary energy and macros) and weight back to Apple Health if you enable it.
There is no account, email or password. The app generates a random device identifier that we use to recognise your device. If you buy FitBite Pro, Apple shares a transaction identifier with us so we can activate the subscription; we never see your payment details.
Questions you ask the assistant, together with a summary of your logged data, are sent to the configured AI provider to generate the answer. Conversations are stored for up to 180 days so you can read them again.
If you enable notifications, we store your device's push token to send reminders, weekly summaries, subscription and achievement notices. Disable them any time in Settings or iOS settings.
Messages sent through the support form (email, topic, text) are stored so we can reply.
Data is kept while you use the app. Deleting the app from your device and asking us at [email protected] with your device identifier (Settings → Account) removes all server data within 30 days.
Hosting: our own servers in the EU (Contabo). AI analysis: Anthropic, OpenAI or DeepSeek, under their API terms, without using your data for training. Barcodes: Open Food Facts public database. We do not use analytics SDKs or advertising networks.
FitBite AI is not intended for children under 16.
